In some ayat at Qur’an, Allah Ta’ala orders His slaves to ask for Heaven and Allah likes it, and suggests them to do some things that make them one of its inhabitant as soon as possible. No more laziness ! Do righteous deeds as soon as possible, as you’ll die the next minutes.
Allah Ta’ala says in the Qur’an surah Yunus : 25, ‘Allah calls (human) to Darussalam (heaven)’. Another surah and ayah that’s it Ali-Imran : 133, Allah says : ‘And hasten to forgiveness from your Lord and Jannah as wide as the heavens and earth, prepared for the righteous’
Al-Hadid : 21
Race toward forgiveness from your Lord and Jannah whose width is like the width of the heavens and the earth, prepared for those who believed in Allah and His messengers. That is the bounty of Allah which He gives to whom He wills, and Allah is the possessor of great bounty.
At-Taubah : 111
‘Indeed, Allah has purchased from the believers their lives and their properties [in exchange] for that they will have Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah,,, ‘
Al-Bukhari and the others narrated from Jabir, that there are some angels came to Rasulullah shallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam when he sleeps. Then some of them said, “He is sleeping”. The others said, “His eyes are sleeping, but his heart isn’t”. They said, “Actually, your friend has parable, so make a parable for him”
Then, the other said, “He is like a man who built a house and held a banquet in it. The homeowner sent someone to deliver the invitation. Whoever meets the invitation, then he went into the house and go eat at the banquet. And he who does not meet the invitation, then do not go into the house and did not come to eat at the banquet.”
They said, “Explain that parable, so he can understand”
The other said, “He still sleeps”
But the other said, “His eyes sleep, but his heart isn’t”
They said, “That house is Paradise. The messenger of the invitation is Muhammad. So, whoever obeys to Muhammad, it means he obeys Allah. And whoever disobeys to Muhammad, it means he disobeys Allah as well. Muhammad is the differentiator between man.”
Whoever asks for the protection of Allah from Naar (Hell), then He will protect him. And whoever asks heaven to Allah, then He will put him there, as long as he has the strong niyat and do the righteous deeds.
Abu Ya’la narrated from Abu Hurayrah Ra, Rasululullah saw said, “ No one asks to be saved from Hell three times, but the hell says, ‘ Oh My God, surely Your slave, Fulan, really asks to be saved from me, so save him’. And no one asks to be given the heaven seven times, but the heaven says, ‘ Oh My God, surely Your slave, Fulan, has asked me, so put him to heaven’” (this hadith appropriate with Muslim condition)
And At-Tirmidzi, An-Nasa’i and Ibn Majah narrated from Anas Ra, Rasulullah saw said, “ Man saalallahu al jannah tsalatsa marratin qaalatil jannah Allahumma adkhilul jannah, wa manistajaara minannaari tsalatsa marratin qaalatinnaru Allahumma ajirhu minannaari.”
“Whoever asks for heaven to Allah three times, then the heaven says, “ Yaa Allah, put him in heaven”. And whoever asks the protection of Allah from hell three times, then the hell says, “Ya Allah, save him from hell”
So… Let’s run from the Hell things, and catch up the Paradise things!!!
